Arsalyn Program of Ludwick Family Foundation was created to encourage young Americans to become informed and active participants in the electoral process. Arsalyn views the civic and political engagement of young people as beneficial to country, community and character. Arsalyn is firmly committed to a non-partisan, non-issue-based and inclusive approach to ensure that voting becomes a lifetime commitment on the part of our nation's young adults.

Arsalyn Staff

Program Director: Christian Lindke

Bio: As Program Director of Arsalyn, Christian Lindke has developed many strong connections within the youth civic engagement community.  He continually focuses on finding new means to strengthen youth civic engagement and volunteerism.  Christian received his B.A. in political science at the University of Nevada, Reno, his M.B.A. from California State Polytechnic, Pomona, and is a sixth year Doctoral student at the University of California, Riverside. 

Christian's current research interests are political polarization, transmission of affective polarization between Generations, and how parenting interacts with politics. His research projects include examinations of the generational transmission of affective political attachment, the differences in levels of affective polarization between generations, and how parenting style preferences influence preferences for paternalistic governmental policies.

Christian has worked for over a decade in the youth civic engagement field and has developed partnerships throughout the Southern California area. These partnerships have included programs with the Center for Civic Education, the Los Angeles County Office of Education, the Constitutional Rights Foundation, the Center for Asian Americans United for Self Empowerment (CAUSE), USC's CALIS program, and Mikva's Action Civics LA program. The Arsalyn Program of Ludwick Family Foundation also currently works with students at over 12 high schools in Los Angeles County to promote civics and voting.
